Webflow compared

Webflow or a managed roofing website: who is driving it after the designer leaves?

Webflow is a proper design and build platform: fast output, clean markup and full control over layout, which is why agencies and designers like it. For a roofing company the real comparison is not Webflow against our stack, it is Webflow plus a designer against a managed service. Somebody still has to build each town page, write the articles, sort the photos and make changes in July, and on Webflow that person bills you per project or per hour.

The short version

Webflow builds excellent sites in the right hands. Those hands are usually a designer you pay per project or per hour, which is the cost to compare.

  • Live in7 days
  • Speed90+ PageSpeed, guaranteed
  • Changes5 a month, 2 to 5 working days
  • Build fee$697, after launch

The tool is good. The question is the operating model

A Webflow build usually goes: a designer quotes a project, builds a handsome site, hands over a subscription and an editor login, and moves on. Six months later you need four new town pages, a new gallery section and the storm banner, and you are back in their queue at their rate. Nothing about that is dishonest, it is simply the project model. A managed service is the subscription model: the changes are included, they happen in days, and nobody quotes you per request.

Speed, fairly compared

Webflow outputs clean, fast pages, and it is the strongest performer among the visual platforms on this page. Our advantage here is narrower than it is against a plugin-heavy stack: what we add is a 90+ PageSpeed guarantee that keeps applying after launch, checked on an ongoing basis and fixed at no charge, rather than a snapshot on the day a project was delivered.

Roofing-specific structure is the part a general build tends to skip

Storm response mode, an address-first estimate form that branches on the reason for the request, a gallery sorted by roof system, an insurance claims explainer, a page for every town crossed with every service: these are the things we build every time because we only build for roofing. A general design project produces whatever was in the scope document, and these are usually not in it because nobody knew to ask.

Line by line, with nothing hidden

The same twelve dimensions on every comparison page, so you can hold two of them side by side. Where a competitor answer says "varies" or "depends", that is the honest answer rather than a dig.

When each one is the right answer

When Webflow is the better choice

  • You have a designer you trust and a budget for them to keep working on it.
  • The site needs an unusual layout or interaction that matters to your brand.
  • Somebody in the business genuinely wants to learn the tool and own it.
  • You are building something beyond a roofing site, and design flexibility is the priority.

When the managed build is the better choice

  • You want the changes, the content and the photos handled every week rather than quoted.
  • You would rather a roofing specialist decided what the site needs than write a brief yourself.
  • You want an ongoing speed guarantee rather than a fast launch that drifts.
  • Predictable monthly cost beats project fees you cannot forecast.

Not either or

If you already have a Webflow site

Keep it running while we build. Good Webflow work is worth carrying across: the brand, the copy that converts and the photography all come with you. We rebuild the structure with roofing depth, add the pages a general build usually omits, and redirect every old URL.

  • Existing design direction respected rather than discarded.
  • Town, service and proof pages added where the original scope stopped.
  • 301 redirects from every old URL before the switch.

I was never going to write about standing seam versus shingle myself. Two articles a week show up, they are about the work we actually do, and the questions homeowners ask on the first call have changed because of them.

Questions about Webflow and this build

Is your site faster than a Webflow site?

Not by a wide margin, and we will not pretend otherwise. Webflow outputs good pages. What we add is a guarantee that keeps applying after launch and gets fixed at no charge if it slips.

Can my designer keep working on the new site?

The build and the changes are ours, so a designer would send requests like anyone else. If keeping your own designer hands-on matters, Webflow is the better fit and we would say so.

What if I want an unusual layout?

Describe it during onboarding. Most things are possible; anything that would hurt speed or conversions on a phone we will push back on and explain why.

Do you charge per page like a design project?

No. Pages are not priced individually. New town or service pages are built as revisions, which are included every month.

Who owns the design you build?

The design and code stay ours, which is stated in the terms. Your domain and your content are yours throughout and after.

Can you migrate a Webflow CMS blog?

Yes. Posts are migrated and redirected so they keep their place in search.

How quickly do changes happen?

Within 2 to 5 working days of us having what we need, whatever the size of the request.

What happens if I outgrow the plans?

You can move up a tier at any time, and the change takes effect on your next billing cycle. There is no rebuild involved.
